Dr. Brad Franklin

Bio: Dr. Brad Franklin is the founding and lead pastor of Lakeside Church in Folsom, CA. He came to Folsom in 1987 as a church planter and started Lakeside using a telemarketing campaign.Lakeside continues to grow steadily, now offering several weekend worship gatherings and over 100 small groups. Lakeside relocated to its present 28 -acre campus in Folsom in September 2001.  In 2008 Lakeside launched a second campus in Orangevale, CA, and continues to reach out through both campuses.

Before coming to Folsom, Dr. Franklin served as a missionary in the Philippines, and in churches in Portland, Oregon and Scotts Valley, California. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies from Westmont College, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral

Ministry from Western Seminary, and completed his Doctor of Ministry from Bethel Seminary in June 2002.

Brad and his wife, Donna, are the parents of three adult children – Breck, Bryce, and Bethany. When not at work, Brad plays as much as possible. He loves golf and racquetball, blogs infrequently, enjoys amateur photographer status, has jumped out of an airplane (which he plans on not doing again) and has piloted an ultralight (which he would like to do as often as

possible).

Dr. Franklin has hosted the Pastoral Leadership Clinic at Lakeside, a bimonthly training session for pastors for several years. He has spoken at family camps, men’s retreats, the Thrive Conference of Bayside Church in Granite Bay, CA, and the BRASS Convention in the Inland Empire of southern California. He is an adjunct

faculty member of Western Seminary - Sacramento , and has also conducted pastoral coaching sessions with Bill Hybels for the Willow Creek Association of Canada.
